Since 2006, TeenHousing has been developing and managing affordable housing for young adults, particularly those who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness. 38 units of very affordable housing have been created since 2006.
TeenHousing is the only developer in Western Massachusetts of affordable housing specifically for teens and young adults. These supported housing projects include an array of social services, life skills education, case management, and community service responsibilities for the residents.
TeenHousing is supported by private foundations (including BankNorth Foundation), the MA Department of Housing and Community Development, Boston Community Capital, Federal Home Loan Bank, Greenfield Coopoerative Bank, Greenfield Savings Bank and gifts from local residents and businesses.
The Greenfield TeenHousing division owns 10 efficiency apartments which provide subsidized supportive affordable housing for low income homeless young adults ages 18-24.
