Are you a youth who is in need of housing, food or support in general?

There are multiple ways to get involved with DIAL/SELF or to seek support, and if you found this page you're in the right place!

If you are under the age of 25 (24 and under), and live or currently stay in the Franklin or Hampshire County areas, you may be eligible for some of our services!

DIAL/SELF offers housing, financial support, help applying for jobs, getting SNAP benefits, getting health insurance, and much more.

If you are a youth in need of housing, food, or help in general and want to get connected with us you can call our main number at 1-413-774-7054 and then press extension 4.

If you are a youth in need of emergency housing/shelter, you can call that same number (1-413-774-7054) but dial extension 8 to be connected to our 24/7 on call crisis line.

Below is a flow chart showing the general process from start to working directly with a case manager, depending on what level of support you want. While the process can be confusing, know that it essentially boils down to what you are looking for! The hardest part of our process is reaching out, once you get talking with a staff person, they can help guide you toward the resources you need! The main take away from all of this is, you can call the above number to reach out to us and we can walk you through the rest of the process!

Drop In & Resource Centers:

Our Drop In Center, located at 277 Main Street, 3rd floor in Greenfield Massachusetts has a food pantry, hygeine supplies (condoms, soap, tampons, etc) that are all free and available to you after you do a brief intake. You can learn more about our drop in centers (HERE), but this is a great place to start if you want to learn more about DIAL/SELF and what we can potentially do to help you. If you need more immediate support, like emergency housing, or longer term housing in one of our multiple housing programs, you will want to schedule a full intake with a case manager which you can do over the phone or at drop in! We also have a resource center in Orange, which you can also learn more about in the link above!

The process for getting help, explained:

All of DIAL/SELF case management and drop in services are free of charge, you do not need to worry about copays, or insurance because we are funded by grants from the federal and state government. We have the ability to potentially support you in finding transportation to our locations as well! In fact, if you don't have insurance currently, a case manager can help you navigate finding health insurance coverage with you!

Once you are meeting with a case manager, they can answer all of your questions, the hardest part really is just reaching out! If you're unsure about any of this, feel free to give us a call at 413-774-7054 extension 4!
